Talking to Codzee
You can talk to Codzee right on the pull request: ask for a review, ask a question, or tell it something is fine as it is.
Commands
Comment on a pull request with:
@codzee reviewfor a full, fresh review of the pull request as it is now.@codzee helpfor the list of commands.
Codzee reacts with 👀 so you know it saw your comment. A few things to know:
- The author of the pull request and people in your organization can use commands.
- You can ask for up to 3 reviews per pull request. To review the same commit again, wait 30 minutes or push a change.
- Commands inside quotes or code blocks are ignored, so you can write about them safely.
Reply to a comment
Reply to any Codzee comment like you would to a teammate:
- Ask a question and Codzee answers in a few sentences.
- Explain that the code is intended and Codzee accepts it, resolves the conversation, and remembers it for next time.
- Say you fixed it and Codzee checks the fix and resolves the conversation.
Codzee doesn't reply while reviews are paused or you've used your reviewed pull requests for the month.
How Codzee learns
- Codzee commentson a line in your pull request
- You push backdelete the comment, or reply that the code is intended
- Saved to repo memorythe kind of finding, for this repository
- Next reviewCodzee skips similar findings unless they're serious
Codzee keeps a memory for each repository. When someone deletes a Codzee comment, or replies that the code is intended, Codzee remembers that kind of finding and stops raising it in that repository, unless it's clearly serious.
Resolving a conversation on its own doesn't teach Codzee anything; it only closes the thread.
